Who We Are
Sai Gaanam School of Music is an institution that introduces the basics of Carnatic music to young students and nurtures their interest and love for this divine art.
We introduce the basic concepts of Swarams, Thalams and Shruti. We practice the basic lessons in 3 speeds, thereby giving the students more confidence in Swaram and Thalam.
Apart from following Ganamrutha Bhodhini book for the classical lessons, we also teach small Devotional Songs and Bhajans to make them enjoy the pleasure of singing. All songs are taught with meaning make them more enjoyable.
Students are also encouraged to give performances in local temples and other programs.
About The Teacher
Nithya Jaishankar
Having more than 15 years of musical training from gurus like Pozhakudi Ganesh Iyer, Therezhedhur Sisters and Mr. Therezhedhur Ranganathan in Thanjavur and Chennai. I feel that there is no end to learning music, so I keep enriching my knowledge from many senior Gurus. I wanted to share my knowledge of music so I began this school.
